Patient Information

Insurance and Payments

  • What kind of insurances do you take?

We accept most health insurances such as Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medical Mutual, United HealthCare, and Medicare. Please reach out at info@soloneye.com if you would like to know if your insurance plan is in-network with our office.

  • Do you take vision insurance?

No, we are not in network with any vision insurance plans. Any plans that promise to pay for ‘one vision exam per year’ or something like that would not work at our office.

  • What if I don’t have insurance or if I am out-of-network?

Our fee for new patients which includes a comprehensive eye exam with all associated testing and imaging is $360.00. Established patients will pay $300.00. We can still submit the claim on your behalf to see if any out-of-network benefits may apply.

  • When do I pay for services?

Payment for services are due in full on the day of service. If your insurance company adjudicates your claim such that you overpaid for your services, then a refund will be issued to you.

Glasses and Contacts

  • Do you prescribe glasses and contacts?

We do prescribe glasses and contacts. However, we will only prescribe contacts if you have had contacts before and have the prescription with you.

  • Do you sell glasses or contacts?

No, we do not sell glasses or contacts. The prescription that we give you can be taken to most other optical shops to purchase.

Appointment Day

  • Are there new patient forms for me to fill out?

There are no new patient forms to fill out beforehand. Please come prepared to discuss your medical history, surgical history, family history, and medication list. We will address this all during your appointment.

  • Will I be dilated?

If this is your first visit, please expect to be dilated. If you are not new to the practice, this will depend on what your appointment is about. You may call or email info@soloneye.com ahead of time to confirm.

  • Will I need a driver if I am dilated?

We recommend having someone drive you if you are going to be dilated. With that being said, the majority of people who are dilated have no issues driving afterwards. Sunglasses for after the appointment are highly recommended.

  • Do I need to send you my medical records ahead of time?

It can be helpful to have records sent ahead of time. You may email them to info@soloneye.com or fax them to 440-445-0578. If you cannot do that ahead of time, you can always bring them to your appointment, and we can go over them together. It is also fine if you cannot have records sent before your visit.

  • How long will my appointment take?

It varies depending on your specific concern and questions you may have. Please budget about 60 minutes for first-time visits and 45 minutes for follow up visits.
